Here is my summer meal plan to go along with my 30 day summer fitness plan. Its really just suggestions and ideas, not a strict day to day plan. It is kind of a good guide to eating in general, its not something I would view as a diet. Eating healthy food should be part of your lifestyle, not just…

Slacking
So I’ve been sort of neglecting my myfitnesspal account lately. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s a website that helps you count and keep track of your calorie intake and have tools that help you with that. You can also track your exercises and how many calories you’ve burned while doing those exercises. Some people don’t like to count calories but I’ve learned that it really works for me. Some people need limits and I’m one of those people(only in certain cases haha. really only this one lol.) I like knowing that I have a certain number that I’m trying to reach and should not go over in a day. It definitely helps me in my decision making process when picking out foods and such.
But recently I haven’t been utilizing it and I can definitely see a change in my eating habits. I feel like if I have a place to post what I’m eating in which other people can view, I’m being held accountable and that’s what drives me to want to do right and stick to my plans.
So I’m definitely getting back on track now that I can acknowledge the fact that this is something that has been definitely helping me. :-)

No I haven’t been there yet! I’ve passed it a ton of times when I’ve gone back home, but never been inside. I definitely need to check it out. I don’t know if Mr. McCormic is still there(the German teacher) but he promised me a tour when it was first opened but I never took him up on it lol.

You pretended the snooze button didn’t exist. You dragged your butt out of bed while others slept. While others ate their pancakes you had a feast of protein, glucose and electrolytes. You double-knotted. You left the porch light on and locked the door behind you. You ran. 5ks, 10ks, 26.2 miles. Some days more, some days less. You rewarded a long run with a short run. And a short run with a long run. Rain tried to slow you. Sun tried to microwave you. Snow made you feel like a warrior. You cramped. You bonked. You paid no mind to comfort. On weekends. On holidays. You made excuses to keep going. Questioned yourself. Played mind games. Put your heart before your knees. Listened to your breathing. Sweat sunscreen into your eyes. Worked on your farmers tan. You hit the wall. You went through it. You decided to be a man about it. You decided to be a woman about it. Finished what you started. Proved what you were made of. Just kept putting mile after mile on your internal odometer.Nike Ad (via truthbet0ld)(Source: shootmovecommunicate, via rightwayhealthy)

off of barnett shoals, (going north past the choo choos) there is a park thing with fantastic trails. also, in the i-fields have a great trail, its in the back behind the the red coat band training field. also, behind the reserve is a trail that i hear is amazing.
also, the botan gardens are a really peaceful place to go, of course at night that would be ridiculous, but otherwise.

Dilemma
So I’ve been wanting to go running outside but it’s just hard to find the time to. I get up at 6am to get ready for work and then I’m at work from 7-4. By the time I get off it’s blazing hot(I live in Georgia and it’s been hitting between 90-95 everyday). It cools down some when it’s night time but then I don’t live in an area where I would feel comfortable running outside at night. I absolutely hate running on a treadmill but I think I might have to just get over it and do it if I want to get some running in. I really wish I lived near a park with some trails that I would run.
I can run in the mornings on the weekends but I would like to get some in during the week too. It would be great if it wasn’t so flipping hot in the afternoon. I need to live somewhere where it’s Autumn year round haha. :-)

That’s awesome! I’m not going to lie, I struggled with the Attack Phase because it was such a drastic change from my normal routine but I made it through. I’m now about to start my 3rd week of the cruise phase and I’m seeing amazing results so far. I haven’t been updating that much about it during this phase just because it’s pretty much the same thing everyday haha but I’m definitely going to post some progress photos and such. :-)
